Broken But Remoulded

Is a program of the Potter's House, convened by Prof. Joy Onyesoh. The program was curated from Prof. Onyesoh's personal experience of nurturing her amazing daughter with special needs. She was led to write a book on her experience, "The Remoulding of the Master's Vessel: Our Journey with Brittle Bone Disease," which was launched in 2019. This marked the first edition of the "Broken But Remoulded" annual program.

This faith-based program is inspired by the threefold mandate given to the convener from Isaiah 61:1-7:

  • To proclaim the good news and demonstrate the love of God through comforting and healing the brokenhearted.
  • To rebuild and restore the confidence of believers in the Word.
  • To build an army of empowered, kingdom-focused women.

Broken But Remoulded in the Potter's House utilizes the biblical metaphor of the potter and clay to convey its vision and mission. The core idea is that God, the Potter, shapes and molds individuals, even in their brokenness, to create something new and beautiful.

Vision

The vision of Broken But Remoulded is to help people understand that they are not beyond repair, but rather, they can be transformed and restored by God's grace. This vision is rooted in the biblical concept of God as the Potter, who can take broken and flawed individuals and shape them into vessels of honor.

Mission

The mission of Broken But Remoulded is to provide a platform for people to experience God's transformative power in their lives. This involves:

  • Restoration: Helping individuals understand that they are not beyond repair, but rather, they can be restored and transformed by God's grace.
